World Silambam Association
The World Silambam Association (WSA) (Tamil: உலக சிலம்பம் சங்கம்) is the official international body of silambam for Worldwide and Non-Governmental Organization (NGO). On November 22, 1999, the primary name of Silambam with origin from Ancient Tamil Nadu of India has been initiated and performed in Singapore by Guruji Murugan Chillayah to become the official organization name to provide education and trainings of Indian Traditional Arts and Sports. In 2014, an organisation named Silambam legally registered and recognized as a more formalized organization after security clearance approved by Singapore Regulatory Board. It was followed by a new formation of Silambam Asia, is the Silambam organization recognized by the United Nations and has members of twelve countries in the Asia continent,
