It started on 1 February in Putrajaya and ended on 10 February in Kuala Lumpur. In fact, this race was rated by the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) as a 2.3 category race. Hernán Darío Muñoz of Colombia won the race. Robert Hunter of South Africa won the point classification and Ruber Marín of Colombia won the mountains classification. Mapei–Quick-Step won the team classification.
