3rd Pennsylvania Cavalry
The 3rd Pennsylvania Cavalry Regiment was a cavalry regiment that served in the Union Army during the American Civil War. The unit was initially called the "Kentucky Light Cavalry", but was re-organized under William W. Averill as the 3rd PA Cavalry, losing its priority of numbering to the later regiments due to the change of organisation. The unit was also called the "60th Regiment Pennsylvania Volunteers". In recognition for the unit's service at Gettysburg, a monument was erected there.
