4th Justice and Development Party Ordinary Congress

The 4th Justice and Development Party Ordinary Congress was a party convention of the governing Turkish Justice and Development Party (AKP) that took place on 30 September 2012. The congress mainly centred on the Turkey–PKK conflict. The AKP's founding party leader Recep Tayyip Erdoğan stood as the only candidate for the party leadership, with 1,489 registered delegates voting in the election. Erdoğan was re-elected as leader with 1,421 votes. The congress was held a year after the AKP's third consecutive landslide victory in the 2011 general election.
