Abu Belal Muhammad Shafiul Huq
Abu Belal Muhammad Shafiul Huq (Bengali: আবু বেলাল মুহাম্মদ শফিউল হক ; born December 1958), is a four-star rank army general and the current (17th) Chief of Army Staff of the Bangladesh Army, in office since 25 June 2015. Huq most recently served as the Principal Staff Officer, Prime Minister's Office, Armed Forces Division. He has also served as an Aide-de-Camp to the President of Bangladesh. Huq is the recipient of Sword of Honour. General Huq was commissioned in the Armoured Corps of the Bangladesh Army in June 1978.
