Alces carnutorum

Alces carnutorum, also called Carnute Elk, is an extinct genus of large mooses that lived in Europe during the Early Pleistocene. Fragments were found in the site of Saint-Prest, near Chartres, and described by Laugel in 1862. The taxon features a size comprised between Alces gallicus and Alces giganteus
