Auckland Grammar School

Auckland Grammar School is a state secondary school for years 9 to 13 boys in Auckland, New Zealand. It has a roll of 2521 as of July 2016, including a number of boarders who live in nearby Tibbs' House, making it New Zealand's largest single-sex school and placing it among the six largest schools in the country. Grammar is well known for its eccentric traditions. These include the compulsory Latin subject for higher stream first year students and its continued use of the old system of year names.
