Began Phali / Benishan, also known as Banganapalli, is one of the most common cultivars of mango (Mangifera indica) grown in the Indian subcontinent, particularly in India and Pakistan. Benishan is named after the name of Zamindar of Panyam and Nawab of Banganapalle. It is also called as Banganapalle because it is cultivated plenty in and around Banaganapalle town of Andhra Pradesh, India.
