Blue Palace
The Blue Palace or Plavi Dvorac was built as the heir's palace in Cetinje, the Royal Capital of Montenegro. Today it is the residence of President of Montenegro. It was built in 1894-1895 in late Empire style as the residence of Prince Danilo of Montenegro, then heir to the throne. The building was a model for the construction of the buildings of the other members of the Petrović Njegoš royal family throughout Montenegro. The Palace was extensively renovated in 2006 through a grant provided by the Government of Norway.
