City Stadium (Stadium Bandaraya Pulau Pinang in Malay, was formerly known as Penang Island National Stadium (Malay: Stadium Nasional Pulau Pinang)) is a multi-purpose stadium in George Town, Malaysia with the home stadium of Penang FA. The oldest built stadium still in use in Malaysia, it was built in 1956 by the British government. The place where the stadium was built originally was a land fill. Previously the main entrance occupied a larger area and presently much reduced. It is currently used mostly for football matches. The stadium has a capacity of 20,000 people. This stadium is currently the home of the Penang state football team & is famed for its vociferous home support dubbed the "Keramat Roar".
