Dorothea of Mansfeld

Dorothea of Mansfeld (1493–1578) daughter of Count Philip of Solms and (from 1521) second wife of Ernst II of Mansfeld-Vorderort (1479–1531). Countess Dorothea of Mansfled Dorothea of Mansfeld (c. 1493- c. 1578) was a noblewoman and lay healer who became famous for her popular medical recipes, and charity through health care for the poor. She was widowed and became a prevalent healer later in her life. Dorothea became a household name throughout Germany in the late 1500s more specifically 1550-1570.
