Food Angel
Food Angel (Chinese: 惜食堂) is a new established food rescue organization in Hong Kong. It provides food assistance program with 4 main missions: Reduce food waste at source, Alleviate hunger, Relieve Poverty and Educate the next generation. It was launched in 2011 by Bo Charity Foundation and supported by wide range of both local and international food donors, sponsors plus charity partners. Food Angel has its independent offices, kitchens and community center based in Kowloon and Hong Kong Island. The program is well known for its campaign ‘WASTE NOT, HUNGER NOT’ and diversified teams of volunteers: Food Angel, Bread Angel, Corporate Angel, Green Angel, Outreach Angel, Community Angel and Driving Angel.
