Fountainhead (Jackson, Mississippi)

Fountainhead in Jackson, Mississippi, also known as J. Willis Hughes House, is a Usonian house designed by architect Frank Lloyd Wright in 1948. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980. The house was built during 1950-54 for J. Willis Hughes, who lived in it until January 1980. Its NRHP nomination asserts it is the only Frank Lloyd Wright design in Mississippi, butt here are three other homes in Mississippi designed by Wright, all in Ocean Springs. Its name is a reference to Ayn Rand's novel, Fountainhead.
