Their version peaked at No. 52 on the Billboard Hot 100 and No. 8 on the Hot Soul Singles chart. Audio Adrenaline recorded a version of the song for their 1996 album, Bloom. Hartman himself re-recorded the song and released it in 1979 on the album Relight My Fire.
