Freedom and Solidarity

Freedom and Solidarity (Slovak: Sloboda a Solidarita, SaS) is a liberal political party in Slovakia. The centre-right party was established in 2009 and is led by its founder, the economist Richard Sulík, who designed Slovakia's flat tax system. In the March 2012 parliamentary election, it lost half of its 22 seats in the National Council. The party had held four positions in the government of Slovakia before the election.
