Future house is an electronic dance music genre that emerged in the 2010s, described as a fusion between deep house and EDM. According to French producer Tchami, the genre was first coined by himself circa 2013 as simply a tag for his SoundCloud releases, but that fans and the media later began to adapt the term in an earnest sense, as his "music was specific and leading to build a bridge between house and EDM".
