General planetary vehicle

General Planetary Vehicle (GPV) - a hypothetical transport project for the removal of weight at a low circumplanet (e.g. low-Earth) orbit proposed by a Soviet inventor Anatoly Yunitskiy in 1982 (published in the magazines "Inventor and Innovator" and "Technical Youth" 1982). It is a giant formation of astroengineering proportions. GPV (like the space elevator) is one of the alternatives for vehicles as means of removing cargo off the Earth's surface. According to the author, it has a number of advantages over the space elevator.
