Great dusky swift

The great dusky swift (Cypseloides senex) is a South American species of swift in the Apodidae family. At 18cm in length, it is large relative to other swifts, and dark brown in colour with a pale coloured head. Found in Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, and Paraguay, its natural habitats are temperate forests, subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests, and heavily degraded former forest. Its very large (though patchy) distribution means that it is classified by IUCN as "least concern".
