Hakuoh University (白鴎大学 Hakuō Daigaku) is a private university in city of Oyama in Tochigi, Japan. The name Hakuoh, meaning 'white seagull', and the motto Plus ultra, or 'Further beyond', are intended to inspire students to soar to their fullest potential. From its inception, Hakuoh has attempted to bridge the gap between theoretical and practical education by focusing on the acquisition of knowledge and skills that are most applicable in today's rapidly evolving society.
