Jawad Botmeh

Jawad Botmeh was a Palestinian student in London who was convicted in 1996, along with fellow Palastinian Samar Alami, of participating in the 1994 London Israeli Embassy attack. He has maintained his innocence since; Amnesty International have stated that Mr Botmeh had been “denied [his] right to a fair trial,” and those who campaigned for him include- according to the Daily Telegraph, over a ten year period- the later leader of the Labour Party, Jeremy Corbyn. He graduated with degrees in electronic engineering from the University of Leicester and King's College London.
