The Karakul mine is one of the largest cobalt mines in Russia. The mine is located in Altai Republic. The mine has reserves amounting to 180 million tonnes of ore grading 0.33% cobalt, 1.5% copper, 0.11% nickel and bismuth, 0.4% tungsten, 4.6 million oz of gold and 57.6 million oz of silver.
