Kim Fu

Kim Fu (born 1987) is a Canadian writer, whose debut novel For Today I Am a Boy was published in 2014. The book won the Edmund White Award for debut novels from Publishing Triangle, and was a shortlisted nominee for the Hemingway Foundation/PEN Award and the Lambda Literary Award for Transgender Fiction. Born in Vancouver, British Columbia to immigrant parents from Hong Kong, Fu studied creative writing at the University of British Columbia. Fu has also published poetry, essays and long-form journalism in literary magazines and anthologies.
