Northampton railway station

Northampton railway station serves the large town of Northampton in England. It is on the Northampton Loop of the West Coast Main Line. The station is served by London Midland services southbound to London and northbound to Birmingham New Street and Crewe. Virgin Trains also run 2 services to London, one at 00:05 from Wolverhampton (to set down only) and one at 06:40 from Rugby. Until the 1960s, the station was known as Northampton Castle, as it is built on the site of the former castle of that name. As part of the station's redevelopment, it has been proposed to revert to this name.
