Operation Vigorous

Operation Vigorous was a British operation in the Mediterranean during the Second World War, to escort a supply convoy (MW-11) that sailed from Haifa and Port Said on 12 June 1942 to Malta. The convoy was attacked by Axis air and naval forces and forced to turn back and return to Alexandria on 16 June.
