Parakuhlia macrophthalmus
Parakuhlia macrophthalmus, the dara, is a species of grunt native to the Atlantic coast of Africa from Senegal to Angola. This neritic fish can be found down to 20 m (66 ft) along beaches and rocky coastlines. This species grows to 20 cm (7.9 in) in TL, though most do not exceed 15 cm (5.9 in). This species is the only known member of its genus. It is important to local commercial fisheries.
