Penang International Airport

Penang International Airport (IATA: PEN, ICAO: WMKP), previously known as the Bayan Lepas International Airport, is situated outside the Bayan Lepas suburb in Southwest Penang Island, Penang, Malaysia. The airport is located 14 km (8.7 mi) south of George Town, the capital city of Penang. It is the oldest airport in the country, being opened in 1935 when Penang was part of the Straits Settlements. The airport is the hub of the low-cost carrier Airasia.
