Following the closure of Harringay in 1987 the competition switched to Wembley which in turn closed to greyhound racing in 1992 forcing another move. The new venue chosen was Hall Green and they hosted the event from 1993-2008 before the Greyhound Racing Association allowed Nottingham to have the competition rights.
