RAF Catfirth
RAF Catfirth is a First World War Royal Naval Air Service and later Royal Air Force seaplane base located on the island of Mainland in the Shetland Islands. The base was opened in November 1917, and was transferred to the Royal Air Force when it was formed on 1 April 1918, the base was closed on 15 April 1919 and returned to open land.
