Romance in the Rain was a 2001 Chinese-language costume drama based on producer Chiung Yao's 1964 novel Fire and Rain, which follows the Lu family in 1930s Shanghai, China. Starring Zhao Wei, Ruby Lin, Leo Ku, and Alec Su, the series was co-produced by Chiung Yao's company in Taiwan (in conjunction with China Television) and China Central Television in Mainland China.
