Samsung Medical Center

Samsung Medical Center (SMC) which is located in Irwon-Dong of Gangnam-Gu, Seoul, South Korea is a tertiary hospital. SMC is composed of Samsung Seoul Hospital (삼성서울병원), Kangbook Samsung Hospital (강북삼성병원), Samsung Changwon hospital (삼성창원병원), and Samsung Life Sciences Research Center (삼성생명과학연구소). SMC was founded on November 9, 1994 under the philosophy of “contributing to improving the nation’s health through the best medical service, advanced medical research, and development of outstanding medical personnel." Since its foundation, the Samsung Medical Center has successfully incorporated and developed an advanced model with the motto of becoming a "patient-centered hospital," a new concept in Korea.
