The Carthage Press

The Carthage Press is an American daily newspaper published in Carthage, Missouri. It is owned by GateHouse Media. The paper bills itself as "Southwest Missouri's Oldest Daily Newspaper"; its daily predecessor The Evening Press began in 1885. Its roots as a weekly newspaper date to The People's Press, published in Carthage in 1872. It is one of three newspapers GateHouse owns in the Joplin-Pittsburg area, along with The Neosho Daily News in neighboring Newton County, Missouri, and The Morning Sun in Kansas.
