The Cordish Companies

The Cordish Companies (previously The Cordish Company) is a U.S.-based real estate development and entertainment operating company with its headquarters on the 6th floor of the Pratt Street Power Plant in Baltimore, Maryland. It was founded in 1910 by Louis Cordish. In 1933, his son Paul L. Cordish joined the business and was an active participant for 70 years; in 1968, Paul’s son David S. Cordish joined the firm. David S. Cordish currently serves as the company's chairman and CEO. As of 2016, all three of David’s sons, Jonathan, Blake, and Reed, serve as Executives of The Cordish Companies. The Cordish Companies has four divisions: (1) specializing in urban mixed-use and retail/entertainment development; (2) suburban power and life-style centers; (3) gaming/lodging; and (4) food and bever
