Bamda
Bamda is a small town in Nyingchi Prefecture in the south-east of the Tibet Autonomous Region of China, roughly 1,000 kilometres (600 mi) from Lhasa. It is basically an army garrison with a small Tibetan village around the corner. It lies at an altitude of 4,400 metres (14,400 ft). The village is located 22 kilometres (14 mi) east of Qoiden and about 32 kilometres (20 mi) from the border with Sichuan.
