Project Design Certification is a key milestone in the Project Cycle. It marks the point a Project has undertaken Validation, a VVB has submitted a positive opinion and the Gold Standard Project Design Review is complete. Only Certified Project Design status Projects may proceed to Verification/Performance Certification (see also Retro-active Registration/merging Project Design Certification and Performance Certification).
