2016 Şemdinli bombing

The 2016 Şemdinli bombing was a terrorist incident in Turkey occurred on morning of 9 October, Sunday (UTC +3). A car bomb killed at least 18 people including 8 civilians and 10 soldiers and another 27 people were wounded according to initial reports. Following the attack, on the same day, at a meeting of tribe and clan representatives of southeast Turkey in Van, 181 Kurdish clan representatives from 16 different provinces in southeast condemned PKK's actions and motives of separatism.
