Acrolophus popeanella
Clemens' Grass Tubeworm Moth (Acrolophus popeanella) is a moth of the Acrolophidae family. It is found in the eastern United States, from New Jersey and Ohio south to Florida and west to Illinois, Nebraska and Texas. The wingspan is 24–33 mm. The forewings are yellowish to reddish brown or purplish and heavily marked with darker colors. Adults are on wing from May to September. The larvae feed on the roots of Trifolium pratense.
