Al Hamiri family
The Al Hamiri (also spelled Al Humairi or Al Hemeiri) is the name commonly used by members of the Al Bu Hamir (or Al Bu Humair), a small tribe from the Al Ain region in the emirate of Abu Dhabi. They are a small section of the Manasir (Al Mansouri) tribe, from Al bu Sha'ar section. Also, they part of the larger Bani Yas tribal confederation, which belongs the Abu Dhabi ruling family, the Al Nahyan. They are Maliki Sunni in religion and partisans of the Hinawi faction in politics. The members of the tribe have usually enjoyed close relationships with the Al Nahyan ruling family. Several of its members held important positions in Sheikh Zayed's administration and court.
