Alan Curtis (guitarist)

Alan Curtis is an English guitarist, known for his tenure with the synthpop/new wave group Duran Duran in 1978, but left after one year when he disappeared, missing only one show after the band hired owners of Birmingham's Rum Runner nightclub as their managers. Curtis was a member of the punk rock group London Pride, who supported local bands across West London. From 1980-1986, Curtis was a member of the English post-punk group Dif Juz, where he remained as guitarist until 1986.
