He has been given numerous awards and honors including: member of the National Academy of Engineering, Fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE), Vitold Belevitch Award, Mac Van Valkenburg Award, Walter Ransom Gail Baker, George Westinghouse Award, all from the IEEE itself.
