Angosat 1
AngoSat-1 is a geostationary communications satellite operated by Angosat and built by the Russian company RSC Energia. It is the first communications satellite of Angola. The project is born out of a 2009 agreement between Angola and Russia's government, and the project was initiated in 2012. Originally supposed to be launched along Energia 100 satellite on a Zenit-3SL in 2016. But the annexation of Crimea made the use of the Ukrainian launcher questionable, and thus the Angara A5/Blok DM-03 Plesetsk was selected. It was financed by Rosoboronexport with a 286.2 million Euro.
