Basque parliamentary election, 2001

The 2001 Basque parliamentary election was held on Sunday, 13 May 2001, to elect the 7th Basque Parliament, the regional legislature of the Spanish autonomous community of the Basque Country. All 75 seats in the Parliament were up for election. The electoral coalition Basque Nationalist Party-Basque Solidarity (EAJ-PNV/EA) won 33 seats, the People's Party (PP) came second with 19 seats, the Socialist Party of the Basque Country–Basque Country Left (PSE-EE) came in third with 13 seats. The Basque Citizens (EH) coalition obtained 7 seats.
