Brønderslev Municipality

Brønderslev is a municipality (Danish, kommune) in North Denmark Region in Denmark. The municipality was originally named Brønderslev-Dronninglund, this being the longest name of a municipality in Denmark. But at the municipal council's first meeting they decided to shorten the name to a new and shorter form: Brønderslev municipality. It covers an area of 630 km² and a total population of 35,525 (2008). The municipal council is located in the town of Brønderslev.
