Chase Huchingson

Daniel Chase Huchingson (born April 14, 1989) is a professional baseball pitcher currently playing in the New York Mets organization. He was born in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Prior to playing professionally, he attended Fayetteville High School, where he was originally an outfielder but converted to pitching. He was drafted Texas Rangers out of high school in the 34th round of the 2007 Major League Baseball Draft but didn't sign a contract. He was then taken by the Houston Astros in the 23rd round of the 2008 Major League Baseball Draft, two picks ahead of major league pitcher Chris Rusin, though he opted not to sign a contract again.
