The Chrysler Auto Strike began as a struggle between the Chrysler Auto manufacturer and the union group known as The International Union, United Automobile, Aerospace and Agricultural Implement Workers of America, better known as the United Automobile Workers (UAW). The strike began in October 1939 in Detroit, Michigan.
