Dennis Murphy (sports entrepreneur)
Dennis Arthur Murphy (born about 1927) is a sports entrepreneur. Murphy co-founded (with Gary Davidson) the World Hockey Association and the American Basketball Association. He also founded Roller Hockey International and World Team Tennis. The Global Hockey League, his 1990 venture as another league to compete with the NHL, never got off the ground.
