The eighth and final season of Desperate Housewives, a television series created by Marc Cherry, began broadcasting in the United States on September 25, 2011 and concluded on May 13, 2012. The season was promoted as "Kiss Them Goodbye." The series finale, was the most watched series finale of the 2011-2012 Television Season beating Fox's House, which also premiered 2004. The first day of shooting for the series finale occurred on April 16, 2012. and the final day of shooting was on April 26, 2012.
