Diospyros simaloerensis

Diospyros simaloerensis is a tree in the Ebenaceae family. It grows up to 30 metres (100 ft) tall. The twigs dry greyish. Inflorescences bear up to five flowers. The fruits are round, up to 1.5 cm (0.6 in) in diameter. The tree is named for Simaloer island in Sumatra. Habitat is lowland mixed dipterocarp forests from sea-level to 600 metres (2,000 ft) altitude. D. simaloerensis is found in Sumatra and Borneo.
