Double Eclipse is the first album released by the American hard rock band Hardline in 1992. The first single released from the album was "Takin' Me Down", written Johnny and Joey Gioeli with Neal Schon. At that time, however, Grunge and Hip hop music were keeping formerly commercial AOR, hard rock, and heavy metal bands in the lower reaches of the album charts and preventing most from hitting the Billboard Hot 100 at all. Despite the odds stacked against it, "Takin' Me Down" entered Billboard's Hot Mainstream Rock Tracks chart for four weeks, peaking at No. 37 in June. The album's second single fared better.
