Draper, Gaither & Anderson (DGA) was one of the first venture capital firms founded in the western United States. The firm was founded in 1959 in Palo Alto, California by pioneering venture capitalist William H. Draper Jr. Draper was joined by Rand Corporation founder Horace Rowan Gaither as well as Frederick L. Anderson Jr., a retired Air Force general. Prior to DGA, venture capital in the United States was located primarily on the east coast.
