The Durban beach-front bombing took place on Saturday, 14 June 1986 at the "Why Not Magoo's Bar" on the beach-front area of Durban. The attack was orchestrated by a cell of uMkhonto we Sizwe under the leadership of Robert McBride. A bomb was placed in a car outside the bar, which was targeted because the bar "was frequented by security branch police".
